Today I stumbled upon a great resource put together by the Poverty Action Lab outlining the uses of administrative data in field research. But even more exciting is an amazing document they have created detailing how to gain access to some of the biggest administrative data sets in the US. It includes: health care data, education data, death certificates, incarceration data, social security, credit reports, and VA data. You should check it out.
