Here is a call for papers to the latest edition of a great workshop series --- and the plan is to meet in person!
The seventh annual Workshop on Relational Contracts will be hosted by Waseda University in Tokyo on 20 and 21 August 2021. The local organizer is Hideshi Itoh, the keynote lecture will be given by Rachel Kranton (Duke University). This workshop provides a forum for researchers to meet, present papers, and discuss recent developments in relational governance, informal relationships and dynamic contracts, which are key to design and manage organizations. Please, see relationalcontracts.net for information on past workshops.
The organizers invite submissions of empirical and theoretical papers. Please email a draft or an extended abstract here by March 14th 2021. The program will be announced in April. Then they will hopefully also be able to tell whether the workshop can take place physically, or whether they will once again have an online workshop.
Waseda University will cover 3 nights of accommodation, as well as a reasonable airfare ticket for presenters and discussants.
If you would not like to present but would like to attend the workshop, please let the organizers know (ideally by April 15th) such that they can have an accurate headcount.
You are welcome to share this call for papers with others who might be interested in presenting. If you know of others that would like to attend, please let the organizers know and they will do their best to accommodate.
Organizers:
Hideshi Itoh (Waseda Business School)
Daniel Barron (Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management)
Matthias Fahn (Johannes Kepler University Linz and CESifo)
Marta Troya Martinez (New Economic School and CEPR)
Giorgio Zanarone (Washington University in St. Louis, Olin Business School)
