Relational contracts--that is, collaborative agreements that are too rooted in the parties' informal relationship to be enforced by courts--have emerged in recent decades as a powerful tool to understand institutions and organizations. Reflecting this fact, a yearly Workshop on Relational Contracts has been established, whose purpose is bringing together on a regular basis scholars and papers situated at the frontier of economic research on relational contracting. The first edition of the Workshop was held in June 2015, in Munich.
The second Workshop on Relational Contracts will be held at CUNEF, in Madrid, on September 23-24, 2016. Bob Gibbons (MIT) and Bentley MacLeod (Columbia) will deliver keynote speeches. The workshop's full program can be consulted here.
