Masks are still required in some settings – Please bring a mask with you! The University of Toronto continues to require masks to be worn in classrooms and indoor spaces when two metres of physical distancing cannot be maintained. Masks can be removed by presenters and while eating or drinking. Masks, are required on flights arriving into or departing out of Toronto airport and while in the airport. The Toronto public transit system highly recommends masks. Some businesses also continue to require masks.
Arriving in Canada – As of April 1, 2022, pre-entry tests are no longer required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. Toronto airport has suspended random testing. Please check here for requirements for full information, especially for those who are not fully vaccinated.
You will be asked to complete this government issued international travel form prior to departure to Canada: ArriveCAN or via the ArriveCan app.
Departing to the U.S - The U.S. no longer requires all travellers regardless of citizenship or vaccination status to show a negative COVID-19 test result to enter the country.
Where to get tested – If you require testing while in Toronto, there are 2 locations in close proximity to the University of Toronto that offer appointments for COVID-19 tests with same-day results for the purpose of travel. Please book your appointment in advance and within 24-hours prior to your departing flight.
